You-MAQ Control Assays
The You-MAQ concept allows the personal design and development of a MAQ assay for a specific genomic region of interest. You-MAQ assays can be designed freely using our webservice. One human genomic region of interest of at least 30 kb can be specified (positions based on NCBI built 36.1). After confirmation, primerpairs for maximally 5 target amplicons are returned by email. The amplicons are evenly spread throughout the region and are designed to work in conjunction with a universal set of 6 control amplicons, present in the You-MAQ Control Assays, to allow dosage calculations.
The You-MAQ Control Assays consist of an optimized PCR-mix and the Taq polymerase.
You-MAQ users need to order the designed primers and combine them with the Control Assay to generate a MAQ assay that can be used for the copy number analysis of the region of interest.
