Medical Writer

Key Responsibilities

As Medical Writer you are responsible for developing clinical study protocols, reports, Instructions For Use and technical documentation, in accordance with regulations. You will prepare abstracts, manuscripts and posters to communicate relevant content to the scientific community.

You are able to autonomously write, interpret and summarize clinical and non-clinical data, compile information, and ensure delivery within strict timelines.

You develop content that meets the stated objectives of the projects, is scientifically and medically accurate; and follows house style guides and procedures.

You will be part of various interdisciplinary project teams and work closely with R&D in order to deliver high-quality documents. 

 

Profile

  • At least 2 years of medical, technical or scientific writing experience in the biotech industry
  • University degree in life science
  • Excellent standard of written English, and ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English, both in writing and verbally
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Organized and autonomous
  • Careful attention for detail and accuracy
  • Ability to quickly learn new scientific matter and correctly interpret and summarize scientific data

Product Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

As Product Development Manager you carry out expert scientific activities during the development or improvement of our molecular diagnostic assays:

  • Set-up, organize and manage expert activities from start to end (eg. assay design, product development, set-up and organization of internal/external studies),
  • Deliver expert activities and input within defined release criteria and within allocated time frame,
  • Gather and improve state of the art scientific knowledge of expert function related topics,
  • Draft, analyze and approve documents used to track product development projects,
  • Coordinate/assist in the production of scientific documents for external use, such as scientific papers, application notes, meeting abstracts, etc.,
  • Provide creative solutions and contributions to projects,
  • Set-up, manage and organize external contacts and meetings related to product development,
  • Manage on a daily basis the activities of laboratory technicians assigned to the project.

 

Profile

  • PhD degree in life sciences or equivalent by experience
  • Expertise (> 1 years) in product development of molecular diagnostic products or equivalent 
  • Proficient verbal and written skills in English
  • Excellent communications skills

  • Team spirit: motivate others, positive attitude, drive and commitment
  • Antwerp (Niel)-based and prepared to travel on a regular basis (up to 15%, in Europe)

Key Account Manager, France

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed product sales and margin targets for your territory
  • Develop and execute a strategic and tactical sales, planed with his line manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer feedback: collect product feedback from customers, analyze and provide solutions for technical issues,
  • Complaint  handling:  log  complaints  in  a  database,  evaluate  and  resolve  problems,  perform troubleshooting and follow-up with customers (remotely or on-site),
  • Customer  satisfaction  improvement:  define  and  implement  initiatives  to  improve  customer experience (eg. customer interface website tools, educational programs),
  • Product training: develop and provide product training to distributors and customers,

Profile

  • Academic  degree  in  life  sciences  (ideally molecular biology with  relevant  lab experience  in molecular biology or a related field,
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills,

  • Able to negotiate to find well-balanced solutions while taking care of customer needs,
  • Prepared to travel on a regular basis (up to 25%),

  • Organize and perform stability testing of commercial products and products in development compliant with the ISO13485 norm, perform trending and data interpretation in order to draw conclusions.
  • Write reports on the obtained results.
  • Report and communicate results to senior colleagues.
  • Improve and update stability testing strategies.
 

Profile

  • You are a professional bachelor in Biochemical, Biomedical or Biotechnological laboratory techniques.
  • Experience in one or more of the following fields is required: PCR methods, mutation and SNP detection (sequencing), SNP genotyping and (massively parallel) sequencing methods.
  • You work accurately in the lab, with eye for detail and a critical mindset.
  • You have sense for responsibility and you are proactive.
  • You can work independently and are eager to learn.
  • You have good oral and written communication skills.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems or ISO13485 is considered an asset.

Field Application Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Product demo and training; set-up and deliver on-site demonstrations of products at the customers’ facility and on their equipment.
  • Guiding new customers; provide product training, either remote or on-site, on the products according to  the product instructions. Monitor progress and report to sales team.
  • Technical support to end-users; assess customer needs, act as technical expert and consult in product applications in the customers’ environment. Perform troubleshooting towards problem solving in close collaboration with the international customer service team.
  • Technical support to the sales team(s); provide technical product support to the direct sales teams and distributors. Assist the sales team with local customer visits providing the technical expertise.
  • Training; provide training to the direct sales and distributors in the field. Support the customer service in end-user and local support team training programs.
  • Execute product presentations to customer groups; seminars, product workshops.
  • Customer feedback; collect product feedback from customers. Recommend improvements on the products to international marketing to improve customer satisfaction. Maintain record of customer communications and technical support through available tools.
  • Quality; Complies with company quality management systems, policies and procedures. Consult customers in implementing products into their quality system.

 

Profile

  • Master’s degree in life sciences (molecular biology) or equivalent experience,
  • Hands-on laboratory experience in PCR and next generation sequencing technologies,
  • Knowledge on different NGS platforms and software,
  • Technical expert with customer-orientation and committed to provide total customer satisfaction, good communicator and team-player, self-motivated to work independently,
  • Multilingual writing & speaking minimally in English and one of following languages; French, German, Italian. Language preferences are dependent on the assigned territory.
  • Must be capable of working from home, and available to travel on a regular basis (~60%, in Europe).
