BRCA HP v2.0 assay

This assay has been developed for rapid detection of small insertion/deletion mutations in the coding homopolymer stretches of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes since these mutations are difficult to detect via next generation sequencing platforms.

The BRCA HP v2.0 assay targets all homopolymer stretches of 6 basepairs or longer (n = 31) by amplifying 29 PCR products in 2 multiplex reactions.
