DNA Purity Assay

Intended use : 
Fetal DNA obtained through amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling occasionally contains maternal DNA. In this case, great care has to be taken with prenatal diagnosis or a new sample needs to be taken.
With our DNA Purity Assay, one can determine the presence and the relative amount of maternal DNA in prenatal samples following a simple and fast 3-step procedure. The basic concept is the amplification and analysis of several microsatellite markers that would reveal the presence of maternal DNA when displaying 3 alleles. More specifically, this Multiplicon assay simultaneously amplifies 8 highly informative microsatellite markers with primers designed by our proprietary Multiplex PCR design software.
