Multiplex based microsatellite genotyping

Multiplex PCR allows for a large reduction in time and cost of microsatellite genotyping projects. Microsatellite markers (a.k.a. STRs or SSRs) can be genotyped by fluorescently labelled PCR of an amplicon containing the marker followed by size separation on a sequencer. When using different colors and size ranges, up to 16 markers can be analysed in one lane of a sequencer. Our microsatellite genotyping assay design takes these considerations into account to optimize your projects.
